WildTech Workshop for Beginners

Come along and learn to master species ID recording with your smartphone.

Braunton Countryside Centre
16th Feb
1:00pm
This introductory event led by one our our expert citizen science volunteers will take you through some useful identification apps and basic steps of how to use them to record species that you see out in the wild.
The session will start with a brief introductory talk using PowerPoint then the group will go outside to the surrounding natural areas in Braunton to try out your newly learnt skills.
Citizen science is important to help inform many data records studies on the natural world. Through citizen science, people share and contribute to data monitoring and collection programs.
Please bring along your own smartphone to use during the workshop. If you don’t have one, we will be able to share and work together in groups to learn to use the identification apps.
