The North Devon Biosphere is organising a community tree planting at Boode Farm outside Braunton Sunday 23rd February (original date of 16th February postponed due to weather forecast). This planting has been designed to help reduce flooding and improve water quality in the River Caen as well as all the benefits of locking up carbon and providing new habitat for wildlife.
Annotated where there is potential to park cars. CAR PARKING SPACE IS VERY LIMITED. Some of the spaces are on farm tracks that are reasonable but they will be blocking the track.
The farm uses electric fencing which will be disconnected on the plating sites.
0945 meet in Caen street car park and car share as much as possible.
10:00 meet at Boode Farm, Boode, Braunton, EX33 2NN

10:45 Split into groups for planting
12:30 Re-join at the farm and break for packed lunch. (people for morning session only return to Caen street.)
13:15 Afternoon session of planting group ferry up from Caen Street Car park.
13: 30 restart planting. H&S briefing for the new afternoon volunteers.
15:30 End of session. Gather the tools, check the planting and tubes.
16:30 Leave the site.
Some spades and hammers will be provided but you may want to bring your own spade in case. Please bring gardening gloves, wear appropriate outdoor clothing and stout shoes such as boots/ wellies.
