Join us on a Bat Walk on either Thursday 25th August or Thursday 1st September.
We will be using bat detectors to explore how bats, in particular the local Greater Horseshoe Bat navigate.
Beacon Bat Walk Thursday 25th August
We will be meeting up at the Braunton Countryside Centre and making our way over to Braunton Beacon.
Price: Free but a donation of £4 to the Braunton Countryside Centre is suggested.

Distance: 2.5KM
Duration: 2 hours (approx)
Gradient: It’s up hill all the way to the top of the Beacon and the walk involves two steep climbs up a concrete slope and an earth hill which can get muddy and slippy.
Equipment: Strong walking shoes, warm jacket and maybe a torch for the return journey.
Dogs: Well behaved dogs under close control are welcome.
